'A+' by Jennifer, spring 2008

It's not difficult to get a 'C' in this class.
An 'A' requires some serious effort!

 Learning, Work, and Safety Skills

Students will learn valuable concepts and skills in this class if they are willing to:
  • Listen quietly to presentations and instructions

  • Participate appropriately in class discussions
(one at a time, on topic, polite to teachers and fellow students)

  • Focus on artwork and assignments and work diligently throughout project time

  • Follow instructions and all classroom and safety policies

  • Be on time to class and turn in makeup work for all absences

 Portfolio

Your portfolio is a folder of the work you have completed in Art class. Portfolios are valuable for reflection and analysis of your progress. They are a standard tool for artists in any field.

 Excellence and Independent Projects

Students may choose from a wide variety of independent Art projects and classroom service projects to earn the final 10 points of each weekly 'Process' grade and each 'Product' grade in this class.
